We have an immediate opening for a Manager, Demand Planning. This position will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Parma, OH, and will support our Engineered Solutions line of business.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the near-term balancing of supply and demand, given the variation in production and expected sales. 
• Provides a globally optimized demand plan, along with, historical market information, which is used for buffer calculations. 
• Coordinates the interaction of supply and demand between the different sites/locations. 
• Provides plant manufacturing personnel the processes and information for buffer calculations.
• Provides global information and customer issues to Customer Technical Services, regarding global sourcing. 
• Participates with Pipeline, Procurement, Production, CTS, Inside Sales and Management personnel to analyze data, develop solutions and improve the overall Global Order Fulfillment process. 
• Develops high-level plans for plant operating levels, raw material sourcing, product mix, and “default” customer sourcing. 
• Helps to achieve desired inventory targets. 
• Coordinates production levels on a global basis for all businesses in the line of business. 
• Responsible for “rough cut” capacity planning for the global line of business. 
• Coordinates worldwide global raw material planning for the line of business. 
• Ownership of the “Available to Promise” (ATP) screen on a global basis. 
• Travel requirements: International – 10%; Domestic – 20%.

Qualifications:

• 10 years experience in manufacturing.
• College degree required (prefer logistics, sales and/or engineering.) 
• High level of working knowledge in manufacturing and marketing/sales environment. 
• Good knowledge of IT/ERP systems. 
• Unique understanding for “Demand and Supply” dynamics. 
• Exceptional skill level in presentation techniques and ability to explain the demand management process to all levels of the organization. 
• Ability to gain a firm understanding of the general customer base for the Engineered Solutions line of business. 
• Firm understanding of inbound and outbound freight. 
• Familiarity with using the computer-based Order Management systems. 
• Strong communication skills.
