GrafTech International Holdings, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of specialty graphite products, has an immediate opening for a Plant Maintenance Foreman/Supervisor at our Clarksburg, West Virginia manufacturing facility.
As the successful candidate, you will plan, lead and manage maintenance craft personnel on various projects including major maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment and process deviations. You also will use your excellent technical expertise to explain situations and corrective actions needed to production and maintenance personnel. In addition, you will be responsible for direct supervision, administrating the bargaining unit contract, schedule overtime and determine labor requirements.
To qualify, candidates must possess the following:
- 5 or more years Maintenance Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or,
- 4-year degree preferably with concentration in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical Engineers will also be acceptable) with 5 or more years experience in a manufacturing environment desired
- Capable of interpreting technical manuals and drawings.
- Proficient in the use of a windows based system to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to direct work activities of all major crafts, i.e. millwrights, welders, electricians, pipefitters and machinists in a union environment.
- Accountability for realizing department and plant objectives as related to cost controls, quality and productivity.
To qualify, candidates must also be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Traverse various levels, climb ladders and steps, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and work at heights
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/distance/peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Differentiate between colors and color codes for HAZMAT identification
- Travel may be required to customer sites, or to other GrafTech sites.
