GrafTech International Holdings, Inc. is a global company with over 100 years of experience in the carbon and graphite industry. We manufacture and provide high-quality natural and synthetic graphite and carbon products and services. Our Lawrenceburg, Tennessee facility has an immediate opening for a Process Manager - Maintenance.
The primary function of this position will be to assess the needs of all operations and schedule resources to insure required uptime of process equipment, prioritize work to maximize throughput, lead/schedule maintenance craftsman, administer GrafTech policies and procedures including HS&EP, as well as drive Lean/TPM principles into all site processes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Interfacing daily with Operations Process Managers and receiving requests for repair work or to provide status of ongoing work.
- Communicating upcoming projects to site management so any impact to operations can be anticipated.
- Monitoring work of contractors/vendors to insure quality of workmanship and timeliness of completion.
- Assisting in troubleshooting issues/problems with equipment, power supply, pressure vessels, etc.
- Determining skills needed on various operating shifts and scheduling craftsman accordingly.
- Directing equipment inventories, inspections and maintenance for all equipment used by maintenance.
- Planning and administering plant maintenance based on Theory of Constraints.
- Collaborating with other management to provide manpower for preventative maintenance efforts.
- Insuring maintenance craftsman are qualified to do the work they are assigned; and arranging HS&EP training to comply with site standards.
- Participating in safety audits/inspections.
- Assisting in/and or leading site Lean/TPM efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- Five years manufacturing experience.
- Lean Manufacturing and TPM experience.
- Knowledge of SPC principles, control charts, statistics a plus.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Strong planning/organization skills.
